What is WiseSupa?▾

WiseSupa is a Supabase instance management platform that provides full database backups, selective cross-instance migrations, and team collaboration tools. It supports both Supabase Cloud and self-hosted instances.

Can I migrate from Supabase Cloud to a self-hosted instance?▾

Yes. WiseSupa supports bidirectional migration between Supabase Cloud and self-hosted instances. You can selectively choose which components to migrate — database schema, data, auth users, storage buckets, edge functions, secrets, and more — in either direction.

What components can be migrated between instances?▾

WiseSupa can migrate database schema, database data, RLS policies, auth users (including passwords), auth configuration, storage buckets and objects, edge functions, secrets, realtime configuration, integrations, email templates, and SMTP settings. Each component can be selected individually.

Are auth users and passwords preserved during migration?▾

Yes. WiseSupa migrates auth users including their hashed passwords, so users can continue signing in with their existing credentials after migration without needing to reset passwords.

How are credentials and sensitive data handled?▾

All credentials are encrypted using Supabase Vault with pgsodium encryption. Sensitive data such as database passwords and API keys never leave the database unencrypted. Connection credentials are stored securely and only decrypted at the moment they are used.

Does WiseSupa support large file storage migration?▾

Yes. Storage migration includes buckets, objects, and policies. Large files are handled via TUS resumable uploads, ensuring reliable transfers even for multi-gigabyte objects.

Can I track the progress of a migration in real time?▾

Yes. WiseSupa provides live progress tracking via Supabase Realtime with per-component granularity and streaming logs. You can monitor each step of the migration as it happens.

Does WiseSupa support team collaboration?▾

Yes. WiseSupa includes multi-tenant organization support with role-based access control. Supported roles are owner, admin, member, and viewer, each with different permission levels for managing instances, backups, and migrations.

What backup capabilities does WiseSupa provide?▾

WiseSupa performs full database backups using pg_dump/pg_restore with streaming to cloud storage. Backups include schema, data, and configurations, and can be restored to any compatible Supabase instance.

Do you offer an enterprise plan?▾

Yes. For enterprise customers, we provide dedicated WiseSupa instances running with your own Supabase OAuth application. This guarantees full data isolation — your data never touches shared infrastructure. Dedicated instances can be customized to your requirements. Contact us to discuss your needs.

Is WiseSupa open source or self-hostable?▾

WiseSupa is a managed platform. It connects securely to your Supabase instances via their APIs and does not require installing anything on your infrastructure.
